Mayor Casimiro “Jun” Ynares III of Antipolo City actively participated during the Executive Session of the City Leadership and Governance Program (CLGP) held last July 5, 2017. Joining the Session were representatives from the CLGP Technical Working Group (TWG) led by Health Assistant Secretary Eric Tayag. The TWG lauded the city’s notable performance in improving the health scorecard after joining the CLGP. In response to the positive feedback, Mayor Ynares expressed his willingness to participate in the next CLGP module.

The CLGP “is a strategic and focused health leadership and governance program to help city mayors and health officers address the challenges of rapid urbanization to health outcomes in urban areas ((https://www.usaid.gov/philippines/health/hlgp-zf.).).” The TWG is composed of the DOH, ZFF, and DAP as the academic partner,
