Ms. Dorothea Navarro, program manager of SHDP – Environment and Sustainable Development Unit, inspected the mangrove reforestation project implemented by the Cagayan State University (CSU). The assessment activity was conducted last March 22, 2017 in Sta. Teresita, Cagayan Valley. The CSU project included a river flood control structure along a tributary of the Cagayan River. The structure is mainly rubble concrete designed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The SHDP is currently implementing a project entitled “Assessment of Mitigation Projects Supported by the Disaster Preparedness & Response and Climate Change Adaptation (DPR/CCA) Programmes”. DAP is implementing this project for the World Food Programme (WFP).
